Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of a lost era will be available on Steam and PlayStation 4. This is the eleventh chapter of the saga created by Yuji Horii together with character designer Akira Toriyama and composer Koichi Sugiyama.
The game follows the adventures of a persecuted hero who will have to solve the mystery of his destiny with the help of a fun group of secondary characters. With a mission that will take players to cross continents and vast oceans, thanks to which they will discover the threat looming over the world, Dragon Quest XI brings to life a world of vast dimensions, full of turn-based combat and with a history that will attract both longtime fans that the newbies of the series.
The title also includes many secondary missions and mini games that will engage players for more than 100 hours. The western edition will include various improvements that were not present on the Japanese market, starting with the dubbing in English.
It will also be selectable the extreme mission, a very difficult mode that offers additional challenges for more experienced players. The menus and the user interface have been renewed with graphic improvements and a more intuitive navigation system, while the photo mode will allow you to photograph in detail the landscapes, characters and monsters in the game. Finally, a new function is provided for running and various other system improvements, such as optimizing the movements of the characters and the view.
