WRC 8 now available: New career and dynamic weather
Two years after the last chapter of the franchise, WRC 8 has landed on PS4 and Xbox One with a series of improvements and news.
Bigben and Kylotonn have announced the availability of WRC 8, the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship, both on PlayStation 4 and on Xbox One.
This year’s chapter returns with an even stronger focus on the simulation component, making use of a renewal of the physics of cars, surfaces, and the introduction of dynamic weather. Players will have to adapt their guide to the terrain and climate.
With 52 rally teams, 100 special stages in 14 countries, some of the most important legendary cars in WRC history, WRC 8 is an even richer experience than that offered by the predecessor.
Career mode has been redesigned from the ground up to immerse the player in the competition. As an integral part of the team, he will have to plan the calendar, manage his team, recruit new members and develop the best strategies to win.
After working side by side with engineers and mechanics from the official teams, the developers of KT Racing conducted some tests with eSport players and among the most important professional drivers on the international scene.
The 9 world finalists of the 2019 edition of eSports WRC powered by Hyundai are now qualified. They will face off on WRC 8 in early October during the Wales Rally in a two-day event at the WRC Service Park in Llandudno. The winner of the 2019 edition of eSports WRC powered by Hyundai will take home a car – the brand-new Hyundai i20.
In 2020, the eSport WRC competition will return, but before the new year of competition begins, there will be weekly challenges for players who want to test their skills, as the race for the 2020 world finals will start during the Monte-Carlo Rally.
